New Game: FreeCell — Nothing Hidden, Everything Winnable

The solitaire family is complete. FreeCell joins Klondike and Spider on Tapbreak, and it's the thinking player's favourite of the three.

Here's what makes FreeCell special: all 52 cards are dealt face-up from the very first moment. No hidden information, no luck of the draw mid-game. If you lose, it was the plan that failed, not the cards. That's also why FreeCell is famous for being almost always winnable.

The rules

  • Eight cascades, all cards visible. Build them downward in alternating colors.
  • Four free cells: parking spots that each hold a single card. They're your working memory.
  • Four foundations: build each suit from Ace to King to win.
  • Move ordered runs together with supermoves. The more free cells and empty cascades you have, the bigger the run you can move.
  • Unlimited undo, so experiment freely and rewind bravely.

Every deal is solvable, really

With FreeCell we can say it with a straight face: every daily deal is verified solvable by our solver before it ever reaches you. The solver plays the deal through to the end, and if it can't prove a win, that deal never ships. The rest is up to you.

One deal a day, same as always

One seeded deal per day, the same for every player, with your solve time on the line, and the fastest solves top the leaderboard. Unlimited free play and a full archive round it out.

Nine games and counting

The full lineup: Wordle Unlimited, Klondike, Tic-Tac-Toe, Chess Puzzles, Sudoku, Trivia, 2048, Spider, and now FreeCell. Something for every kind of break.

Go plan a perfect game.
